Lighting up Crawley for Christmas

Crawley Town Centre was lit up for the festive period at the free annual Light Up Crawley event on Saturday 16 November.


The fun started at 11am with traditional Victorian carol singers in the Memorial Gardens and Silent Disco tours from 11.45am.


From 3pm to 6pm, there was vast array of live entertainment in Queens Square with music, choirs, and special guests.


The incredible Frost Dragon, the amazing Halo glow finale with Santa and the Mayor of Crawley switching on the lights on Crawley's Christmas Tree plus entertainment from Voices of Waterfield, Rock Choir, Songbirds Choir, KC’s Dance, DMT School and more.


Thanks to County Mall Shopping Centre, who extended opening hours for their car parks, plus The Greenaway Foundation were in Queens Square with the 'Mr Mover' mascot to take pictures with for a donation to their charity.


The afternoon culminated with the switch on of the Christmas Tree lights at 5pm by Father Christmas, who was joined by the Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Sharmila Sivarajah.


The event was put on by Crawley Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Crawley Borough Council.
